Camp | An activity that involves an overnight stay, usually in a tent.](/wp-content/uploads/2017/01/camp.png) The Pretty Plain area is a lovely part of Kosciuszko National Park. Great scenery, lovely bushland, and two of the best of the huts to camp nearby. Even better, we spend multiple days near each hut (two nights at Pretty Plain and three nights at Wheelers).
Access is via Dargals and Hell Hole Trails to Pretty Plain. We return along Pretty Plain and take the shortcut across to Wheelers Hut. Return is again via Dargals Trail.
At the start and end of walk we stay at a Ski Lodge at Jindabyne with the usual BBQs on the deck overlooking the lake. A lovely walk with lots of relaxing time. Location: Kosciuszko NP Limit: 12.

Accommodation | An activity that involves an overnight stay, using hard-roofed accommodation such as a cabin, hut or hotel.](/wp-content/uploads/2018/03/accomodation.png) My wife and I are joining an Exodus Travels trip to Ecuador in November 2025 for 14 days, which will combine wildlife watching and walking, including visiting ancient ruins and some local culture thrown in. Strictly limited spaces, so if interested, please contact me asap.
Before the Ecuador trip we'll be going on 2 short trips in Peru, one to Machu Picchu and another to a research station in the middle of the Amazon. Both of these are relatively cheap trips.
