Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longI will be leading a whale spotting walk to Potter Point, Kurnell this coming Friday. Meeting at the Potter Point Car park (go to end of Joseph Banks Drive and turn right onto smaller entrance road right at the end… It has NPWS signs along it). We may walk about a km north of Potter Point towards the light house. Ground is slightly uneven in places and hazardous cliff edges mean you need to stay back from edge at least 3 meters. Bring morning tea and a hot drink if you like. We anticipate leaving about midday. Limit: 14. View

A natural amphitheatre surrounded by towering pagodas this sunken formation is a fascinating place to explore, photograph and enjoy. Rock scrambling and a bit off track walking

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFollow road and tracks to the Pipeline Track. Continue along the pipeline crossing Heathcote road to find a steep descent and cross the Woronora River. Follow a faint track along the river and ascend to the upper escarpment. Continue along cliff edge with good views of the river. Descend the Pass of Sabugal, cross the river and continue along the Pipeline. Follow various trails and tracks to Sutherland. Lots of ups and downs. River crossings, loose stones and rocks, cliff edges.

We will take time to explore this area and enjoy the views over Glenbrook Creek. Return to powerline access trail. From here find our way down to Florabella Pass. We will return to Warrimoo Station. Some off-track and rock scrambling.

Joan’s classic photo is still the one to surpass. If you have never joined us for the winter solstice, I can assure you it’s just a bit of fun where we get to see the lazy winter sunlight up the train tunnel. We are rewarded with some pretty spectacular photos. Most people bring along their cameras or phones and set about taking that magic shot.

Follow this through the forest to a steep descent to the main dirt road leading to Beehive Point on Lake Yarrunga. This is a lovely picnic area and chance for a swim. Return by the main dirt road. Rough track and some steep sections both up and down.

From the Bungonia Lookdown you take the red tape track which dives deep into the Bungonia Gorge with its towering cliff lines and its main attraction, the granite blockup which is a joy to scramble through! Then we walk down Bungonia creek to the junction of the Shoalhaven before returning via the Mt. Ayre Track back to the cars. Rock scrambling and rock hopping
