(Fully Booked) Leader Kevin Cliffe. Part of the Great South Coast Walk (http://greatsouthcoastwalk.net/) a long-distance walking route along the southern coastline of New South Wales, from Bundeena on the southern fringe of Sydney, to Mallacoota, just over the border in Victoria, 660km in total.
Today we walk from Wattamolla to Garie Beach. Always wanted to do the Coast Track but 28 km and 900 m elevation in one day is not your cup of tea? This is your chance to do it in 3 sections with public transport option. Catch the 8am shuttle from Sutherland Station to Wattamolla, arriving 9:15 am. Walk to Garie Beach and catch the shuttle at 2:00 pm back to Sutherland. Day fare is $18. Ask leader for payment details for group booking.

Retrace the famous explorer Ludwig Leichhardt's remarkable 1843 journey to Mt Royal (50km north of Singleton) with Martin from nearby Callicoma Hill Eco-cabins, who has researched Leichhardt’s eventful but scarcely known visit. Leichhardt left a legacy of plant collection, natural history insight & detailed scientific observations that Martin will bring to life in this beautiful place which has remained largely unchanged in 170 years. Join a small group on a hard, steep 4 hour Sunday morning walk, or the afternoon easier 2-hour rainforest meander.

This walk takes the “Stairway to Heaven” at Palm Beach, climbing from the Pittwater side of the Palm Beach peninsula to the ocean side. After following the beach north it heads up the Barrenjoey headland to the lighthouse returning to water level. Starting at Thornleigh Station with a little local history, we will head west along the Great North Walk before diverting through Westleigh and then returning to the bush again on our way to Lisgar Gardens. Lisgar Gardens is a wonderful, secret garden hidden in the back streets of Hornsby. Spread across 6 acres, the garden packs a lot in with a little bit of something for everyone. Lisgar Gardens are famous for their Camellias. There are around ninety varieties in the garden. Some steep and slippery sections, steep staircases and elevation changes.
