Steep and slippery sections, creek crossings, a bit of rock scrambling and an indistinct track. Limit: 15. View

We are following the Darling Mills Creek from near its source to near its junction with Toongabbie Creek to form the Parramatta River. We pass through Sydney sandstone heath lands with remnant stands of Sydney Blue Gums. This walk will be cancelled if there is heavy rain. Track can be eroded, muddy and slippery in places; a couple of creek crossing and fallen trees to cross. Bring a torch for the tunnel. Walk from bus stand along Evans Lookout Road to Evans Lookout, walk along Cliff Top Track to Govetts Leap, and then along Fairfax Heritage Track and Popes Glen Track to Blackheath Station. A beautiful mostly cliff top walking passing many lookouts. Steep and slippery sections. creek crossings. Limit: 15. View

LEADER: Philip Wright: See Costa's video: https://vimeo.com/759335207 Take ferry to Rose Bay to visit Coopers Park, Blackburn Gardens and Woollahra Gallery.  Cooper Park is a large bushland reserve with many walking tracks and recreational facilities available. Cooper Park's worth as a recreation area was recognised as far back as 1885 when the Government was asked to purchase land from the Cooper Estate for recreational purposes. It was not until 1913 that Sir William Cooper agreed to give the whole of the gully from Victoria Road, Bellevue Hill to Manning Road, Double Bay to the Council as a park. Subsequent additions over the years have brought the Park up to its present area of 38 acres (15 ha.) The creek running through the Park is largely natural and follows the line of a volcanic dyke of the Jurassic age while the hillsides support a wide variety of native trees and shrubs. Development over the years included extensive walking tracks/paths, with shelter sheds built and picnic areas laid out. Enjoy an ice cream and a swim at the end. Catch ferry or bus back to the city. We will be staying at Charlottes pass at the Southern Alps ski lodge. Rates are $67.50.per person/per night. As in previous years ill have 3/4 leaders to take walks. The Pacific Highway and the North Shore railway line follow the ridge which forms the watershed from which creeks run west into Lane Cove River. This walk starts from the ridge at Turramurra and heads down to the Lane Cove River, crosses it at Browns Waterhole, then follows Terrys Creek upstream, finishing at Epping.  It follows shaded roads and well formed bush tracks. (Fully Booked) Joint leader Paul Lynch. Medlow Bath circuit via 2 Brothers Lookout, Sunbath, Tuckers Lookout and down along Colosseum Track to the Colosseum walking over a landslide. Explore around the Colosseum and continue down towards the Magalong Valley, join the Valley Farm Track back up to Tuckers Lookout and along the Sunbath Track back to Medlow Bath. Steep and slippery sections, creek crossings, overgrown and muddy track, a fairly long section off-track across an old landslide. Limit: 10. View

This short walk, with its hills and steps, provides an opportunity to walk off the Christmas lunches and recover from the New Year festivities! Cooper Park and Harbourview Park are surprising remnants of the east coast bush, now surrounded by busy suburbs. From Bondi Junction station the walk descends into Cooper Park, climbs up to Bellevue Hill Park, then sidles along the tracks on the northern side of Cooper Park, before the final climb through Harbourview Park to Bondi Junction Station.
