Return is via the Western Escarpment track through native heath with coastal views, birdlife and wildflowers. Medium pace.
Many steps and some rocky sections on tracks which have been somewhat eroded with recent rain.

Walk north north west, then west to GR 323 070, near spot height 1066. Continue underneath the cliff line and explore the multiple ravines of Kangaroo Creek, going south, until about GR 330 062. Re-connect with the vehicles. About 8 km. Partly exploratory. Scrambling and exposure.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Cancelled) (Cancelled due to COVID stay at home orders) High above the Newnes Campground is Old Baldy, a massive set of cliffs named by rock climbers and within its rocky face is the Skywalker Traverse, along a series of ledges and overhangs. This is a great walk and not that difficult although it does entail some scrambling, mainly off-track walking, but certainly worth it. Rock scrambling.

Hazards: Rough, steep fire trail and fallen trees.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longRidgewell Road – Burramoko Ridge – Baltzer Lookout – Burramoko Ridge – Crayfish Creek – Burra Korain Ridge – Ridgewell Road. Fabulous views from Burramoko Head and a nice off-track walk to Crayfish Ck and Burra Korain Ridge. The downside is the road walking. Graded a 4 due to the off-track section. Fire trail, track, off-track with mild scrub, easy creek crossing.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long60 Best walks | This is one of the NPA's 60 best walks.Springtime is upon us and this walk will showcase a bounty of wildflowers that only the Sydney sandstone region can achieve! We will follow the eastern side of Girrakool Creek down over Piles Creek before heading south over Scopas Peak, then the Hawkesbury Track, the old Woy Woy Road, past the scout camp and back along the western Girrakool circuit back to the start. Expect lots of scenic lookouts, beautiful waterfalls, and of course a mass of wildflowers including Waratahs which should be coming into bloom.
