Fred's Big Run - Philip Wright (fredsbigrun.org) Walk from Circular Quay to Watsons Bay via many beaches and some exclusive Eastern Suburbs. Scenic coastal walk. Kamakah Gully is a dry narrow canyon, almost dark in short sections as it winds through the sandstone. We will walk from Bells Line of Road along the ridge beside Kamakah Gully and then enter the gully from a shoulder following the foot pad down. Once in the gully the walk follows the stream up into the canyon as it narrows and twists its way through the sandstone to the point where the canyon starts. Next the ridge east of the canyon will be followed to the cliff edges for views over the upper Grose River valley. Return along ridge to foot track from Jungaburra Brook and then to Bells line of road. An additional walk to Dargan Arch, dependent on time available. Off track and canyon floor walking.

The walk commences at Kiama Harbour and Blow Holes and then heads down the coast to Gerringong. We walk along the streets to get back to Gerringong Train Station to meet the cars. Spectacular coastal views all the way. View

Camp | An activity that involves an overnight stay, usually in a tent.Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPhotography | A trip that has a strong focus on encouraging people to capture photographs.(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) The former mining town of Yerranderie is now a very pleasant place to stay with the option of cabin accommodation or very comfortable camping at the cars, complete with hot showers, gas BBQs and shelters in case of rain. On this 4-day weekend I'm planning to explore many of the local attractions, including climbing Yerranderie Peak, The Axehead Range and other local mountains. These walks are on very rough tracks or off-track, so expect to encounter some scrub along the way. Places are strictly limited, so contact me asap if you want to join me on this wonderful 4-day escape into a rarely visited and captivating location. Rock scrambling and off-track.

It includes a great variety of flora including Grass Trees, Angophoras and Turpentines. As well, there are interesting sandstone platforms and formations and a deeply eroded cave complete with a bat colony. There are lookouts with views in all directions. A steep climb up on steps and trails, undulating top and a steep descend on an old closed logging trail beside a deep wooded gully. We will finish the walk at Erina shops where we will get a local bus back to Erina Station. Limit: 20. View
