Today we kick up the Alphabet series of walk starting from "M"(not "A")The Maroubra to Bondi Beach Coastal Walk is a 12 km clifftop walk that combines together several shorter walks including the Bondi to Coogee Walk into a route that links together all the main beaches in Sydney's eastern suburbs The walk features stunning views, beaches, parks, cliffs, bays and rock pools. The beaches and parks offer various options to take a rest, have a swim or to eat at one of the cafes, hotels, restaurants or takeaways. There are some sections where you need to walk a short part along suburban streets, but the majority of the route is along footpaths This iconic coastal walk passes by many beaches including Maroubra Beach, Lurline Bay, Coogee Beach, Gordon's Bay, Clovelly Beach, Bronte Beach, Tamarama, Mackenzies Bay and Bondi Beach. Spot an ibis joining a Royal Spoonbill for a feed. The walk will commence at 9.30am Tempe station and finish at Dulwich Hill station with a stop for an optional coffee.   View

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longCafe | A trip that involves a relaxed stop at a cafe.Public Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity.Door prizes to win.  NPA Xmas party followed by a walk. It's the time of the year walkers of all abilities get together.  Over the years, some of us have walked faster and harder than ever.  Some of us have slowed down.  It is an opportunity for us to catch up with old friends and make new friends.    We have been shunned by Covid restrictions in the last couple of years.  2022 has no restriction.  We will still keep a safe distance though. Bring your lunch and something to share.  Memorial Park is a 9 minutes walk from Meadowbank Station.  If you wish to walk with others, meet at the station at 11 am. Lunch starts at 11:45 but it is nice to arrive early to mingle and hold the shelters for our party. View
