From Neates Glen after sunset we will descend into the world of the night creatures and walk through the Grand Canyon, exiting at Evans Lookout Track. The prime reason for doing this walk is to see the amazing displays of glow worms which leave the colony in the Glowworm tunnel for dead with their brightness and sheer numbers. Plus we might see possums, gliders, the odd frog and experience this world heritage walk in a completely different way. People doing this walk are encouraged to do the walk to Mt Victoria beforehand and to stay in the mountains to avoid the long drive home. Care is needed walking in the dark and a good torch is essential.

The nearby walk to Taffys Rock leaves the main track, and is much more secluded, with better views. The walk is good in winter as it mainly follows ridges, and is reasonably exposed to the sun. The track is well marked as far as the turnoff to Taffys Rock. From there it is likely to be marked by cairns, but there are no official markers, Steep and Slippery sections. Some clambering
