  One of the classic lower mountains walks is this superb route that descends via the ruggedly beautiful Pisgah Rock and then we rock hop up to the historical Dadder Cave for a look, before experiencing the stunning beauty of the Erskine creek gorge and an easy ascent via Jack Evans track.   Come and join us for a morning of planting food trees for the Glossy Black Cockatoo. We will be teaming up with Milton Rural Landcare, Treading Lightly, Shoalhaven Landcare and the NSW Threatened Species Program. We will plant Casuarina littorals, the preferred food tree of the Glossy Black Cockatoo. After the hard work there will be time to catch up with others and be treated to refreshments.

 This walk will explore this relatively small national park.
Mitchell Park is part of the Cattai National Park. If time allows, we will visit the Cattai Park on our journey home and do another walk.
A combination of train and cars will be used to get to the walk. A contribution towards the petrol cost of the drivers will be required. Roots accross tracks and slippery muddy tracks could be experienced. Limit: 20.

The walk begins at Meryla Pass in Morton NP. From the locked gate continue on the Fire Trail along the ridge. The first section is a fairly steep fire trail but flattens out and then follows along a track. There are several viewpoints which look towards Mt Carrialoo, Crankey's Creek and Lake Yarrunga until reaching the end of the track overlooking Wombat Hill. If conditions are suitable we push through on a less defined track to Yarrunga Trig for great views down to the jnct of Yarrunga Creek & Kangaroo R. On the return there is an optional trail leading to Rebecca's View over Sandy's Creek on the other side of the ridge. Rough track and unfenced cliffs. Off track for extension to the trig.  (Fully Booked) Meet at Gosford Station. Travel in cars to the start of the walk at the junction of a track off Old Pacific Highway. Walk along fire trails and tracks to an Indigenous rock art platform, an old quarry and then off track to the Mega Cave, an enormous cave. Walk back to the cars and then a short 5 min drive across the highway, park at the picnic area and walk the Piles Creek Loop track to the swing bridge and back, passing Boondi, Illoura, Piles Creek, Broula lookouts and return to the cars. Not likely to be able to walk the full loop as the western side of the loop track is currently closed. Need Cars. Steep, slippery sections and an off-track section.   Thirlmere Lakes National Park contains five connected freshwater lakes on a horseshoe bend in an old river valley and set in some delightful bushland. In fact it is part of the Greater Blue Mountains UNESCO World Heritage area. When walking, keep an eye out for animals. Booking essential giving your NPA, mobile and emergency contact numbers, unless I already have them. Drivers wanted as this will determine how many we can take. It is Bank Holiday.
