Thirlmere Lakes National Park contains five connected freshwater lakes on a horseshoe bend in an old river valley and set in some delightful bushland. In fact it is part of the Greater Blue Mountains UNESCO World Heritage area. When walking, keep an eye out for animals. Booking essential giving your NPA, mobile and emergency contact numbers, unless I already have them. Drivers wanted as this will determine how many we can take. It is Bank Holiday. Hazards: Possible muddy sections and illegal bike use.

Catch the 7:42am T8 Macarthur train to Campbelltown and change to the Moss Vale train departing Campbelltown at 8:43am, arriving at Tahmoor Station at 9:19am, where we will travel by car to the walk. There is an hourly train service back to the city. Opal fares apply in this area. A $10 payment to the drivers will help offset their costs in driving there. Drivers needed.
