From there it's on bush track down the hill to Kalkari Visitors Centre. Then, we continue down to Bobbin Head, on the Warrimoo Track beside Cowan Creek before climbing the hill and heading for the end of Warrimoo Ave, St Ives Chase. Once into the bush, there's a good deal of shade if the day is hot. A water refill can be had at the Bobbin Head Marina. Joint walk with The Bush Club.  Fully Vaccinated members only.

Berkeley is a fairly easy walk to Naa Badu Lookout. From here, we backtrack down to Crosswalks and make our way down to Sam’s Creek.  It is a big drop of 200m to the water. From Sam's Creek, we go uphill to Berowra via Sams Creek trail and Berkely Firetrail., which is very pretty. Lots of ups and downs, stairs and steps. Steep and slippery sections. Warm weather View

From the first car, walk down into a creek, then make our way towards Flat Rock. After Flat Rock, descend into a gully at around GR 755 952 and follow it downstream, then exit up the gully at GR 750 963. Climb on the ridge and walk to the second car. About 8 km. Partly exploratory. Scrambling and exposure. Note: this walk has no covid restrictions.

Kosciuszko National Park is always popular in the summertime and staying at a very comfortable lodge at Charlottes Pass is the perfect way to enjoy the beauty of the region with fellow like-minded walkers! The accommodation is at a ski lodge and is via twin share/double rooms and DIY cooking. This lodge is an extremely comfortable place to stay and use as a base and all the rooms have ensuites, there is a communal kitchen and plenty of room to social distance if you need to. As in previous years, I will have several leaders to take walks on each day so you can choose who you might like to walk with and the grades range from 2 to 5. It's essential to book early onto this walk as every year I usually have a long waiting list.

Starting at Thornleigh Station we walk through suburban streets for a short while before diving into the bush at the southern end of Berowra Valley Regional Park. Soon after visiting the site of the historic Zig Zag railway we start wandering through the Berowra Creek Valley, passing a few cascading creeks. The track undulates along the side of the valley visiting a range of environments from moist fern forest to the drier grass tree and eucalypt forests of the ridge. There is a short side trip to visit the Westleigh engravings and a chance to pop down to fishponds, before climbing up the depression era stone steps to Hornsby Station. Steep and slippery sections.

We reach the bridge via steep bush tracks and steps. It follows roads skirting the valley to Folly Point then descends to Primrose Park before climbing out past Willoughby Falls, Green Park and the Cammeray Golf Course. We walk via Anzac Park to St Leonards Park from where we can enjoy a spectacular view over the Harbour. A final descent brings us to the Harbour Bridge and Milson’s Point Station (enthusiastic walkers can continue across the Harbour Bridge to finish at Wynyard station - an extra 3km). Steps, slippery tracks, golf balls.

Descend it, visiting Dome Cave along the way, then explore both branches of the gorge, including Pinch Point Circle. Move south east and out towards Carne Creek, then climb out and visit Cosmic Cave. Exit via Split Rock Point and Pass. Re-connect with the cars. About 8k. Scrambling and exposure.

This walk starts at the Kissing Point Ferry wharf. A short walk takes us to the Punt. After crossing Parramatta River to Mortlake, and a short walk to Green Point, the walk continues upstream around the bays past Yaralla House, Rivendell, Concord Hospital and along the Kokoda Track walkway to Rhodes. We recross Parramatta River to Meadowbank via the John Whitton Bridge (the old rail bridge). Walkers wishing to complete the circuit can add a 2km walk to the Kissing Point Ferry. Slippery tracks if wet, steps.

Plenty of options for a part-day walk along Erskine Creek to other swimming holes. Entry and return will be a short, but rough, walk via Monkey Ropes Creek and a newish track to the Nepean Lookout road. This is a perfect way to spend a long summer weekend.

Hat Hill Canyon is a spectacular canyon in the upper Blue Mountains which doesn't require abseiling. There are a few short swims so a wetsuit is required as the water is usually cold. A helmet is also a good idea and if you don't have one I have plenty I can lend out. This trip was cancelled previously due to the fires then floods in 2019/20 so I'm hoping, third time is lucky. A few short compulsory swims with rock scrambling and hopping along the creek.

As a number of NPA members, even though fully vaccinnated, are tested positive, it is of utmost importance to practise good social distancing...not only avoid oncoming pedstrians but keep away from each other. No touching.   Not quite the Jacaranda walk, but there are many shades of pink apart from the pink Crepe Myrtle lined streets. We walk from Canterbury Station to Ashfield. Points of interest: Canterbury Park Race Course, Canterbury Park, Gough Reserve, Yeo Park, Trinity Grammar School, Peace Park, Peace Park Viewing Tower, beautiful old houses. Although there are many options for lunch at the end of the walk, it is not advisable to dine out at the moment.  There is a takeaway Indian Tea at the station which you can enjoy though.

The Boxvale Track follows the formation of a historic railway line that makes its way through cuttings, along embankments and through an 84-metre long tunnel on the way to a fabulous lookout above the Nattai River. We will also follow the 40 Foot Track down to the river, which is a good place for a swim, then back along the Mt Alexandra Track to the finish. Track steep in places.
