Highlights: Norths Lookout, Therabulat Lookout, Six Foot Track, Cliff Walk, the Explorers Tree, beautiful forests and views. On the way to Katoomba, we'll also walk the old Catalina Raceway and Walford Lake track. We'll also see the Aboriginal Display Track. If you fancy chocolates, a visit to Blue Mts Chocolate Co, 176 Lurline St is highly recommended. Steep and slipppery sections. Steep and slippery sections. It takes board walks north through some wonderfully regenerated  coastal scrub to reach the southern end of Maroubra beach. From there the Boora Point track leads south along sandstone clifftops, providing spectacular views for which the Malabar Headland is known. If the weather is hot we will stop for a quick swim at Malabar beach (or in the shade of the trees) before finishing back at Pioneer Park.  This is a circular walk. Clifftops.

HAZARDS:  Rough track, slippery creek crossings, steep sections.

Book kayaks with Pamela 0458606646 by 4th February. From Bowral Pool we depart at 8:30am which is one hour earlier than normal departure time. We drive to Safari Kayaking located in Kangaroo Valley arriving around 9’ish where we select our kayaks/canoes and life jackets. Kangaroo Safari will transport our kayaks to Bendeela and the carpool follows on. Once set up and in the water, we head upstream for about 3km to a lunch spot and then make our way back to Bendeela where our boats are returned to Safari Kayaking and we drive back to Bowral. The cost per person for boat hire is $45 (TBC) cash payable on the day. Please have the right amount of cash as we need to make a single payment. Cossies, hat, sunscreen and plenty of drinking water will be the go. Hazards:  Mostly still water. Possibility of one short section with quick flow if river is flowing.

Walking the Empire Pass Track and passing the waterfalls of North Lawson. From Frederica Falls take North Lawson Trail and join Lawson Swamp Track. Then walk North Lawson Fire trail to Amphitheatre Falls. Include Blue Mountain on return. Hazards include creek crossings and slippery surfaces.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPublic Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity.To celebrate 2022 lunar year, over 20 Lunar lanterns and banners are installed in the city.  Lanterns are ideally viewed in the dark.  However, to avoid the crowd, we will visit them during the day.  These are bigger than life size animal lanterns and are still spectacular to see.  We will also add sculptures and other landmarks.   As we are in the city, there are many exits to tempt us to cut short the walk.  It is a condition to complete the whole walk ( 10 km and 350m elevation) if you were to RSVP to this walk. Although there are many places to eat, in view of the current Covid conditions, it is best to bring morning tea and lunch to sustain us. View

Cross Mona Vale Road at lights, Hassell Park shops (cafes and toilet, ask for key), also known as St Ives Plaza. We then walk down steps at the back of the shopping centre, down cul de sac Brandon, left into Roma Road, right into Whitehaven Street and left into Linigen Place.  Tracks - Treeloppers, Bare Creek, Cascades go and see that area, and have BYO lunch, Cascades track and can then take Upper Cambourne and come out Cambourne and walk back to start or continue up Cascades which comes out at junction of Cambourne/Acron/Douglas (toilet there) and then walk up Douglas to Mona Vale Road for bus back to Gordon.

Moderate pace. Ocean views, mostly flat, sand and reserve walking, mostly well-formed paths though a few very short uneven and possibly muddy sections which could be slippery after rain, some street walking. Wet feet possible. A leisurely morning tea at Woonona Rock Pool with the options of swimming, exploring the rock platform or paddling in the ocean. Possible sighting of stingrays at Bellambi Harbour. Last time we saw one huge stingray. Lunch at Towradgi Rock Pool with the option of swimming. Bus or walk to train station after lunch. Limit: 12. View

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFind out for yourself why this unique area, currently under threat, must be protected, now. Drive to approximately GR 468 058 on the Deep Pass Trail. Head down a spur and visit Howling Arch, an amazing natural feature. Enter Dingo Creek and progress downstream for about 1.3km, visiting the scenic Pool of Diana on the way, continue underneath high cliffs to GR 476 048, the start of a north, north west trending ravine. Follow the ravine up, visiting the spectacular Pool of Aphrodite along the way, to eventually reconnect with the trail and the vehicles. About 6km. All off-track, some rock scrambling and exposure.

The Tahmoor Gorge circuit follows the very scenic Bargo River and includes the extremely beautiful Mermaid pools and a myriad of cascades and lesser waterfalls along the way. There is a high cliff line track too and we will follow both on this circuit. A walk not to missed especially as the spring flowers should be out in profusion. Rock hopping and some scrambling.

We walk from Linden to Faulconbridge. Visit an Aboriginal site and the historic sawmill, and a few rocky vantage points, which offered spectacular views of the valley. The track to the creek is steep and involves some rock scrambling but it is adorned with wildflowers of various colours, overhangs and caves. Unfortunately this walk involves 4 km of street walking. Creek crossings, steep and slippery sections. Steep and slipppery sections. 5 creek crossings, narrow, rocky and wet paths. Long sleeve shirts and trousers recommended. Gortex boots an advantage. Walk will be cancelled in severe weather warning, bush fire warning or park closure. Please check your mail box the night before to make sure walk is still on.
