After following the beach north it heads up the Barrenjoey headland to the lighthouse returning to water level. The climbs are rewarded with 360-degree views over the peninsula, Pittwater, Broken Bay and the eastern coastline. Steps.

A site seeing tour, approximately 35 kms return. Starting and finishing at Wolli Creek Railway Station, returning approx. 3:30pm. Bring water, sunscreen, morning tea. Follow ridge sometimes on a faint track to meet Lady Carrington Drive. Follow Forest Island, Couranda and Uloola Tracks to Waterfall Station. Creek crossings, slippery with loose rocky sections.

Starting at Thornleigh Station with a little local history, we will head west along the Great North Walk before diverting through Westleigh and then returning to the bush again on our way to Lisgar Gardens. Lisgar Gardens is a wonderful, secret garden hidden in the back streets of Hornsby. Spread across 6 acres, the garden packs a lot in with a little bit of something for everyone. Lisgar Gardens  are famous for their Camellias. There are around ninety varieties in the garden. Some steep and slippery sections, steep staircases and elevation changes. There are sixty Camellia Gardens of Excellence in the world, with the Camellia Gardens and Lisgar Gardens in Hornsby being the only two in NSW. steep staircase

The Reserve's undulating natural environment is the perfect place to explore the wonders of nature with its peaceful picnic settings, wide open spaces and the diverse range of habitats and ecosystems. The modern and spacious wildlife exhbits provide close viewing of the various native animals on display. The exhibited animals and interpretative signage located along the boardwalk (both wheelchair and pram friendly) provide an opportunity for visitors to observe the fauna and learn about each species. Comprising Eucalypt Forest and pockets of significant remnant vegetation, Blackbutt Reserve boasts a restored rainforest providing habitats for a number of rare and vulnerable species.

We’ll visit many scenic points including Lady Darley Lookout, Kedumba View, Echo Point, Minnamurra Lookout, Honeymoon Lookout, Bridal Veil View, Leura Cascades, Olympian Rock and Gordon Falls Lookout. Steep and slipppery sections. Gortex boots an advantage. Walk will be cancelled in severe weather warning, bush fire warning or park closure.
