Save Kosci walk: day 3. A shorter day at 11 km total. A couple of kilometres of quiet streets with mown grass footpaths, and paths through a park. Then a couple of kilometres beside a main road. The rest on footpaths through parks beside the Georges River. Includes a long lunch break at Casula Powerhouse Arts Centre with time to view the exhibitions (free entry). At day’s end, catch a train to your accommodation or get a lift with a support car to Crossroads Hotel or nearby Country Comfort motel. These dates for those who have not been on the trip before or it’s a long time since you’ve been - the usual series of walks. It’s the 21st anniversary trip to the western slopes of the Snowy Mts and northern Kosciuszko NP. Camp or cabin at caravan park. Day walks and exploring the region while learning about Snowy Hydro Scheme, Hume and Hovell and the impact of wild horses. Own transport or find a buddy. Will be some dirt road driving to walks.
