Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(NEW!!!) (Fully Booked) Ahearn's Lookout is found by following the beginning of Starlight's Track.  Take a left fork leading to Rocky Waterholes Lookout and just past this junction look for a right turn which meanders along the ridge to Ahearn's Lookout.  This gives views over the Nattai with Mt Jellore easily identified.  Return by the same route. Rough track, fallen trees and unfenced cliffs.

On our journey through the southern section of this historic park we will travel along the following tracks, Cliff, Palm Jungle, Coast, Curra Moors, Walumarra, Couranga and Uloola to finish up at Waterfall Station. A wonderful walk through heathlands, rainforests, beaches and clifftops, showcasing the best the Royal has to offer! Lots of steps.

Due to popular demand, the Harbour Circle, first posted in 2018, is returning for a second round. This is Part 1 of a 60 km, four-day walk, circling Sydney Harbour with the Sydney Harbour and Gladesville Bridges as its eastern and western points.  This is a magnificent walk focusing on the Harbour itself – the expanse of water, the bridges, islands, urban bushland and city skyline. The route winds along parts of the foreshore, into bays and on to headlands, through bush, along historic streets and over grand bridges. Part 1 starts from Circular Quay and finishes at Greenwich Wharf. Some slippery sections.

Accommodation | An activity that involves an overnight stay, using hard-roofed accommodation such as a cabin, hut or hotel.Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Nearly fully booked) Co-leader: Ewan Cain.  We walk 100km from Apollo Bay to The Twelve Apostles of the Great Ocean Walk in Victoria. It would involve driving to Apollo Bay to start walk. Total walking days are 7 . Total nights of accommodation are 10.  This would require 1 night of accommodation between Sydney and Apollo Bay before the walk and 1 night after the walk. We will be staying at Bimbi Park which offers Cabins, on site vans, camping pods, powered and unpowered sites.  If you were considering  staying in a tent, please be aware that the condition of GOW is unpredictable and can be extremely windy.  Transport to start of day walks will involve car shuffles.  Distance of day walks vary between 12 to 18 km but they do not involve difficult terrains and the daily accumulated elevation is no more than 600m. This GOW walk is back to back to a 7 day Grampians walk.  You have the option to extend to the additional full week or to the number of preferred days.  See different posting. When you enquire, please send your walking history and whether you can share your vehicle with others. Self catering. You are free to take rest days, but may have to help with car shuffle. Walks will include The Sundial Circuit, Grand Canyon, McKenzie Falls, Boronia Peak, The Wonderland Circuit and several others, depending on weather and time. We can take a trip to Great Western to visit Mr.Seppelt and Mr.Best in the event of bad weather. Ararat and Stawell are also within easy driving distance. We plan to stay at the Halls Gap Holiday Park (NRMA discount offered) but you can choose other accommodation. Contact James for a summary of the proposed walks. Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(NEW!!!) Park at Wolgan Road and go through Minotaur Lair to Point Sol. Continue east, then north, exploring high pagodas around the cliff edge. Then walk west to the central spine and have a look at the blind slot at GR 422 233. Head along the spine of the ridge and find a way down to the next level towards west at about GR 420 236. The idea is to explore the next 250 m of pagodas and slots, until 4170 E. Return either via Ariadne Thread or down to Minotaur Lair if there is no time. Partly exploratory. Scrambling and exposure.

This is an exciting walk which takes in the very scenic Gladstone Pass with its patches of rainforest then onto Lindemans Pass before tackling the steep Copeland Pass with its ascent via a system of ropes which will give us access to Sublime Point. Rock scrambling on ropes and along the base of the escarpment. Slippery in places.
