Walking from Glenbrook Station to O'Donoghues Hotel at Emu Plains. Lunch is booked for 12:30pm. From Glenbrook Station we walk over the highway to Moore St and make our way past The RAAF Base and down Knapsack St. Walk through some old railway cuttings to the lookout above Knapsack Viaduct. We go under the Viaduct and then under the Freeway to Leonay Oval and on to the Nepean River Path. Walk is mostly on paths, but there are steep and rough sections. Walk is not shaded and the Penrith area gets hot in summer.

Swim | A trip that involves swimmingWalk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long60 Best walks | This is one of the NPA's 60 best walks.Photography | A trip that has a strong focus on encouraging people to capture photographs.Social | A trip where people will be encouraged to interact and chat with each other.Morong creek with its series of spectacular falls and cascades is one of the gems of the Kanangra Boyd national park and on this walk we will follow its downward path as its plummets down to the picturesque Kowmung River. On the way we will savour its beauty, go for a swim and do the same when we reach the river at the bottom. This is really wild country and with its pink and grey granite boulders, the Morong creek is truly an amazing place for those with an adventurous spirit. For participating hikers, I'd advise to stay in Oberon the night before as the drive to the start of the walk is much shorter. rock scrambling and offtrack

An out and back walk from Hawkesbury River Station to Kangaroo Point incorporating the Brooklyn Boardwalk and Hornsby Council’s new Kangaroo Point Boardwalk. Easy, level walking along footpaths and boardwalks with scenic views of the Hawkesbury River. If there is interest, we can add an extra 1.5km loop to Parsley Bay after we return to Hawkesbury River Station. Steps, occasional car traffic.

Please bring food to share, swimmers, snorkel gear if that's your interest and a sense of fun, and talk about the coming year and what that has to offer and look forward to!

So bring along you're surfmats, donuts, good food and drink and we will ride the odd rapid, swim in the wonderful swimming pools and just take it all in and savour our surroundings for many hours.Entry and exit via Pisgah rock. rock hopping

But wait theres more! Bring along you're flotation device such as a surfmat or donut and we will float down the river, shoot the odd cascade before we return and eventually climb back up the way we came. A wonderful way to spend an Australia Day weekend. rock hopping
