(Cancelled) If you want the ultimate river trip you simply can't go past the mighty Morong Deep! This is an incredibly beautiful section of the upper Kowmung River populated by numerous cascades, cool refreshing giant swimming pools and slabs of pink granite which is perfect for scrambling over, sunbaking on and allowing perfect grip as you explore your way down the river. In short, having the time of your life! Add to this the real chance of bagging a wild trout and some lovely campsites and you have all the attributes for an amazing experience worthy of saluting the Australia Day weekend in style! The walk involves walking down into the deep via Megalith ridge,establishing a basecamp at a loverly grassy campsite then exploring with day packs the Kowmung river upstream into the Morong Deep and downstream too which has a completely different character.
