Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPublic Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity.Bookings essential. Contact leader with details of NPA membership number, contact and emergency numbers. Walk from Hornsby Railway Station to the Great North Walk (GNW) track via the Bluegum Walk. In this area are old sandstone steps built during the 1930's depression. At the GNW track we will head in a southerly direction to The Jungo Rest Area. At the Jungo Rest area, we will veer to our left following the Zig Zag Creek until we come to a bridge across the creek. (at this point time permitting we will walk up to an old quarry.) The GNW track then goes to our right along a fire trail for a very short distance before we turn left along the last section of bush track as we enter suburbia. It is now street walking to Thornleigh Railway station. Slippery and muddy sections may be encountered. Possibility of fallen trees.
