Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPublic Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity.Starting and ending at Mt Kuring-gai with a mix of track and off-track sections. Beginning on the Mt Kuring-gai to Berowra track towards Cowan Creek we go off track into the gully that descends to Cowan Creek. Use of tape to descend the gully and water cascades before rejoining the maintained track. Due to closed track to Apple Tree Bay we return toward Mt Kuring-gai before going on foot pad that follows old water pipe to Apple Tree Bay. After lunch at the bay, with help from a low tide, the mangroves of Apple Tree Bay to the mouth of Apple Tree Creek can be walked, followed by the creek. Through the canyon and exit via off track and foot pad back to Mt Kuring-gai. Hazards include creek/gully walking, slippery wet rock surfaces, rock faces and cliff edges.
