Spring is orchid time. Sylvan Grove Native Garden has such an array of Rock Orchids. They are majestic flowers to admire. https://www.cbcity.nsw.gov.au/environment/parks-reserves/sylvan-grove-native-garden It has mulched paths winding through rainforest areas and areas with more sun, so there is a diversity of plants. It also has many ferns and rainforest plants that like a shady spot, and other plants like prostantheras and plectranthus that flower well in shade.

The West and East Rim tracks, which both start from the Fitzroy Falls visitor centre, offer 2 quite different vegetation types. As it's Spring time I think we can expect wonderful displays of the various flowering natives as we walk, and enjoy the many lookouts which both rim track can offer. Needless to say the views are incredible and I plan to see as much of this area as possible. I plan to do the West rim track before lunch and the shorter East rim track after our meal break with afternoon tea at the Burrow cafe situated at the visitor centre. slippery track in sections Location: Morton national park Limit: 20.

(Fully Booked) (Date Changed) We have an opportunity to explore some of the best of the North Shore of Sydney Harbour.
Starting at Balmoral Beach with its little jetty and huge fig trees; to Middle Head to explore fortifications and cliff top views beyond the Heads; then through angophora trees to Georges Heights and barracks converted to artist studios; and on to Clifton Gardens for lunch. Then we will walk beside secluded bays to the navy memorials at Bradley’s Head. Then it is a short walk to Taronga Zoo for a Ferry to Circular Quay and trains home.
It all starts by boarding the first carriage on the Southern Highlands to Wynyard. A bus or taxis to Balmoral beach. After coffee we shall start our walk at about 10:30 am.
It takes about 4 hours and 45 mins including lunch and many stops along the way (but not for cafes or a swim). See what Arthur Streeton saw when he did some of his finest work.
- See the lizards, lorikeets, wrens and bush turkeys.
- Listen to the currawongs. Hear the waves, lapping at the shore.
- Enter the fortifications where microbats now live. Location: City of Sydney Limit: 20.

We will take the Management Trail from the bottom of Kitchener Street, leading up to the Wildflower Garden. There are two sculpture displays on at this time, after viewing, we will have morning tea. Coffee can be purchased at the Information Centre where you can meet the snake and frilled-necked lizard, see the bush flower display board, look at the native plants for sale and meander around some pathways. We will then take the trail to St Ives Showground, which initially has a loose stone surface. There we can see TreeTops have a look around and have our packed lunch and then return to the WFG taking in a couple of different short trails.
Bring snacks and lunch.
From the WFG we will exit onto, and walk along, Mona Vale Road before crossing MVR to return by bus to the station or walk to Kitchener Road if you come by car. Limit: 10.

What the walk lacks in distance it makes up for in features with 3 beautiful named waterfalls along the way and many others along Linden creek that whilst don't have a name are worthy of a visit! Expect some offtrack walking and boulder hopping along Linden creek between Turtle falls and Meeks Falls. rock hopping and offtrack Location: Blue Mountains National Park Map: Springwood 90304S Limit: 12.
