Travelling by a fast train and then by bus, we reach the Princess Marina Track and follow it to the beautiful Kellys Falls and beyond, through distinctly different bushland to that is around Sydney or the Blue Mountains. From here we walk around to see some stunning views from the escarpment over the coast, before descending 150 metres down to Stanwell Park station for the journey home. Most of the walk is fairly flat except for the descent to Stanwell Park. Uneven and possibly slippery track surfaces, creek crossings and some tracks with steep drops to their side. The walk passes Nielsen Park, Strickland House, Greycliffe Estate and Vaucluse House.  Vaucluse House closed on Tuesday, but gardens open. Return via 2:45pm ferry from Watsons Bay to Circular Quay  ar. 3:08pm, train to Central in time for 4pm train. Many steps & street walking. Limit: 20. View

Camellia Gardens Leader: Philip Wright Located in Caringbah and overlooking beautiful Yowie Bay, the Gardens were recognised by the International Camellia Society as a Camellia Gardens of Excellence in 2014. There are sixty Camellia Gardens of Excellence in the world, with the Camellia Gardens and Lisgar Gardens in Hornsby being the only two in NSW. The Gardens have over 400 cultivars and species donated and acquired since its first plantings began in 1969, in addition to many other rare ornamental and native plants. The collection is of unique value to Australian horticulture. The Gardens have something for all seasons. The camellias are in season during autumn and winter. Tea house serves delicious devonshire and lunches.   We will play by ear. A walk at Woronora Cemetery can be added on. Limit: 10. View

A circular walk in the Southern section of Bangadilly NP. Combining management tracks, walking trails & open cross country we will walk through an interesting blend of Sydney Basin & Tableland flora & also walk along a rarely visited section of the Wingecarribee River. If there are sufficient resources available, there may be an optional detour for some of the walkers that will involve an additional climb followed by a short but steep descent. This is definitely one of my favourite walks in the Mugii Murum-Ban SCA as it shows off some of the most spectacular country in this fabulous location including an eagles eye view into the Valley of the Dinosaurs along with more pagodas than you can point a boot at!We will visit the Ultimate slot on the way back as it is only a short sidetrip! Once we leave the firetrail it is all offtrack walking along Treasure chest ridge but it is not terribly difficult. I've put the walk length at 6 kms but that is only if we are able to drive most of the way up the access road.
