The management trail meanders through Eucalypt forest to a rocky lookout giving views over creeks and farmland. Returning to the Wombeyan Caves Rd we cross and walk a little way to another fire trail and lookout towards Wombeyan Caves. This is a lovely lunch place.

NEW WALK: Leave one car GR 719 928 on Mountain Lagoon Road and drive another one to Hanlons Road North, GR 699 916. From the second car, descend east into Back Creek and follow it all the way to Tootie Creek. Visit Potos Wall, then Potos Cave. Climb onto the ridge to the east and visit Lions Cave. Continue north east underneath the cliff line, exploring caves, till about GR 714 933 or GR 714 938, depending on the available time. Re-connect with the first car.
Expect cascades, waterfalls, rainforest ravines and beautiful caves.

The rugged and beautiful Gardens of Stone can be an intimidating place for a first-time visitor. Find out about easier access points and routes that you can use to discover this magical land. After his talk, Yuri will lead a short walk to the part of the Gardens of Stone adjacent to Lithgow (Dobbs Drift). You will be able to view, photograph and learn about the stunning pagoda formations that make this area unique.

On this trip we will follow Nobles Canyon down past its 2 constrictions to the cliff lines above Carne Creek then explore the cliff lines south of that creek before crossing over a pagoda laden ridge back to the main track.
