  Starting (and ending) at the Sphinx, a series of carvings by a recuperating WW1 soldier as a memorial to his mates, at the entrance to Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park we wind down to the beautiful Cowan Creek and follow it into Bobin Head. There is a steep climb up the ridge on a fire trail which we follow back to the start. You can come by car or public transport and we are meeting mid morning. Booking essential. Catch the 577 Bus from stand D at Turramurra Station at 9:13am, arriving at Ku-Ring-Gai Creative Arts High School at 9:27am or drive and park just outside the Park entrance. Meet leader at the high school bus stop.
