The area is rich in industrial and social history. Optional pub lunch at end at historic Rozelle pub . This walk is full.  However, if there is enough interest, a second walk will be put on a different day.  Please express a show of interest for the second walk.
Mostly street and paved path.

We then walk upstream to an excellent swimming pool on the junction with Lincoln/Monkey Ropes Creek.  Spend the day swimming and stay the night at a nice campsite near the pool. The return will be a short walk along Monkey Ropes Creek and up a new track to return to the cars. This is a perfect way to spend a weekend.

We also visit the historic Caley’s Repulse and Donogues Tomb. The track consists of rocky fire trails and bush tracks with some rock scrambling. Return will probably be via Tahmoor Gorge. Steep descent. Unexplored off track with probable very uneven surface and scrambling.

Onto the Lilyvale Track and rainforest gully of the Karingal Track. Taking in the Red Cedar Loop before crossing the Hacking River and uphill tracks to Helensburgh Station. (Originally Adrian Jones's walk). Hacking River crossing may be tricky after heavy rain.

Climb the 1km up Blackwall Mountain (if it’s not too hot) with a gradient of 12 % at times along a little trafficked road and then a bush track. Walk or bus back to the station. Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPublic Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity.(Nearly fully booked) The "neighbourhood series" will be led by walkers who live in the vicinity of where they live. Today we walk from Rushcutters Bay to Kings Cross, via Botanical Gardens.  Leader is Fiona Thompson. As Covid restriction limits the no of visitors to 5, she cannot host afternoon tea at her Darlinghurst Home after the walk. Instead she has made booking at Cruising Yacht Club of Australia ( home of Sydney to Hobart race) for lunch. Please state if you will join the optional lunch. This walk will replace the annual Australia Day walk I host each year. Points of interest: Botanic Gardens :Beare Park ; McElhone Reserve; Navy docks;  finger wharf ; Hyde Park, calyx, Herb Gardens, Koala bears, Rose Gardens, Water Lilies; Farm Cove, Lady Macquarie Chair, Government House, Conservatorium of Music; The Mint, State Library, Opera House. View neighbourhood walks Limit: 15. Quite simply, this will be one of the finest wilderness walks you can ever do in our wonderful state! Within the Kanangra Boyd National Park lies the untamed Kowmung River and on this walk, we will explore the spectacular Morong Deep which is in my opinion has the finest swimming available in the Blue mountains.From the cars we will walk down to the Kowmung and then have a wilderness basecamp exploring the Morong Deep and the Kowmung River at our leisure,and maybe even catching a trout or two! Rock scrambling, and offtrack walking.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPublic Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity.(Cancelled) Cancelled due to extreme temperature Co-leader: Stuart Sew Hoy. This is a historic walk http://heritagedrive.com.au/project/history-walk-faulconbridge-steam-saw-mill-site/. We walk from Linden to Faulconbridge. Visit an Aboriginal site and the historic sawmill, and a few rocky vantage points, which offered spectacular views of the valley. The track to the creek is steep and involves some rock scrambling but it is adorned with wildflowers of various colours, overhangs and caves. Unfortunately this walk involves 4 km of street walking.View Esther's future walks Creek crossings, steep and slippery sections. Just check out the forecast for Bondi and you will agree that this is a great place to walk today. We are walking along the coast to Coogee Beach where you can buy your lunch, if you like and have a swim (at your own risk). Great coastal views and sea breezes. Many stairs including one long staircase. High UV forecast and not much shade on the walk.

Then Elizabeth L/O, down to Knapsack Bridge. Under the highway and along River Road Reserve past the sculptures and Yandhai Bridge. Passing O'Donoghues Irish Pub for optional lunch (make your own arrangements and at your own expense). The pub is only metres from Emu Plains Station. Comply with Covid-19 regulations regarding spacing whilst walking, bring your own sanitiser etc. Rough ground, trip hazards, one very steep down. A few roads without footpaths to walk.
