Starting with a steep climb from Wondabyne Train station you will explore a series of large rock platforms with wide views over the Brisbane Water National Park and visit Scopas Peak. After Scopas walk you cross a few pleasant rocky gullies before crossing Piles Creek on the Phil Houghton suspension foot bridge. Here the walk heads towards Mooney Mooney Creek before walking up to the Mooney Mooney Creek Trackhead on the Old Pacific Hwy. You'll need to bring a car for car shuffling purposes. We are walking the pretty Gibberagong Walking Track, following Cockle Creek to Bobbin Head and then taking the fire trail with wildflowers and great views, to North Turramurra. The NPWS burn off in this area has been postponed so we will enjoy the area before that occurs. Creek crossings, steps, rough track surfaces in places with a steep climb up, at first, from Bobbin Head. The fire trail does not have much shade. Add hot showers and good amenities and it all adds up to a fantastic time in the bush. Also, there should be a good display of wildflowers to enjoy.

We will walk from Parramatta to Shoalhaven Heads in sections. This week we walk from Drummoyne to Darling Harbour along the Parramatta River. Attractions: King George Park, Paringa Reserve, Elkington Park, Miklouho-Maclay Park, Brownlee Reserve, Thornton Reserve, Anzac Bridge, Gipa Park, Pirrama Park, Pyrmont Bay Park, Australian National Maritime Museum. We finish at Darling Harbour where you can explore/shop/dine. I'll be having lunch at Mamak...authentic Malay food. They have a special lunch menu: $12.80 between 12 to 3 pm.
