From the Bungonia Lookdown you take the red tape track which dives deep into the Bungonia Gorge with its towering cliff lines and its main attraction, the granite blockup which is a joy to scramble through! Then we walk down Bungonia creek to the junction of the Shoalhaven before returning via the Mt. Ayre Track back to the cars. This is a historic walk : http://heritagedrive.com.au/project/history-walk-faulconbridge-steam-saw-mill-site/ We walk from Linden to Faulconbridge. Visit an aboriginal site and the historic saw mill, and a few rocky vantage points, which offered spectacular views of the valley. The track to the creek is steep and involves some rock scrambling but it is adorned with wild flowers of various colours, overhangs and caves. Unfortunately this walk involves 4 km of street walking.
