Co-leader Kevin Songberg. A 3-day pack trip to Bylong Labyrinth.
Day 1. Park an Benjang Gap and proceed up Lee Creek to GR 317 890. Establish camp. With day packs only, walk up the gully to the north and explore the area to the north of the camp. About 10 km.
Day 2. We may find water higher up on the previous day, but it is very likely that it will need to be collected in Lee Creek and carried for the rest of the trip (Days 2 and 3). Break the camp and find a way up to the eastern end of Labyrinth Saddle, GR 315 903. Explore the area to the north before proceeding to Labyrinth Peak for overnight camp. About 10 km.
Day 3. Descend from Labyrinth Peak, walk east, then north, following the ridge to around GR 312 920 for the final descent towards Lee Creek. Walk back to Benjang Gap. About 8 km.
