From the NPWS track head on Narrawallee Creek Road, we follow the fire trail to Buckley’s Head, then along the Burrawang walking trail to Conjola Beach. We then head north to Conjola Entrance, via beach or road depending on conditions, for a well-earned morning tea (bring your own!). Kevin will then drive the drivers back to the start. An easy walk along the Jervis Bay coastline including the White Sands walk. Grade: 2/3. Distance: 10km (shorter options).
Track connects some of the most beautiful beaches, including the famous Hyams Beach and the lovely Greenfield Beach. Wander through shady bushland full of scribbly gums before the path opens up to brilliant white sand and turquoise water. This is a gorgeous walk on a clear path and includes the Scribbly Gum track. Come and see the world’s tallest Spotted Gum. Grade: 2/3 Distance: 3-4km.
From Termeil we will drive on the old Highway and Middle Ridge Forest roads to park in a forest clearing. The walk is along remote forest roads and a short but steep bush track to commune with Big Spotty (a magnificent old Spotted Gum recently threatened by proposed logging in the surrounding state forest). Return to the cars via the same route. Coffee afterwards at Lucy’s Café, Bawley Point. Limit: 12.
