Leaving the fire trail there are a couple of steep gullies to negotiate before joining an old fire trail and then a bush track leading to the escarpment. Wildflowers are prolific and the view is spectacular. Hazards: Steep rough track, slippery creek crossing, fallen trees, unfenced cliff edges. Limit: 20. View|

|(NEW!!!) Starting from Mount Kuring-gai and walking part of the Great North Walk to Berowra Station via Berowra Creek. This walk descends along the Lyrebird Gully Track, where I have seen lyrebirds on past walks, through forests along Calna Creek to join Berowra Creek. Joining the Great North Walk from Crosslands. Walk North on the track beside the creek, before climbing the track back up to Berowra. Hazards include slipery surfaces, steep descents and ascents, wildlife.

Upon arrival on this car-free oasis of bush, beach and tranquillity, we will be welcomed by tree-lined palms and jacarandas. On the lower grounds we'll walk past the Bowling Club and Bradleys Beach. On the higher grounds we'll get great views of the Hawkesbury River. We'll also walk past a Blackbutt – Rough-barked Apple Forest. Enjoy the scenic train ride across the Hawkesbury River and a joy ferry ride to the island. Enjoy lunch or Devonshire tea at Dangar Island Depot before taking the ferry back home. Bring money for ferry ($8.50 one way adult, $4.30 one way concession (not sure seniors are considered concession)). View|

It'll take in a range of fire trails and will include a visit to an Aboriginal site and the historic Circuit Flat Bridge. This will be at a medium pace and all walkers MUST BE COVID DOUBLE-VACCINATED.

|A beautiful coastal walk from Bondi Beach to La Perouse. Today, you're spoiled with coastal sights. Malabar Headland Walking Track is a good introduction to the pristine coastal cliffs of Kamay Botany Bay. At the end of the walk, you can visit the La Perouse Museum or have a drink to relax. |(Cancelled) Leader: Bob Rankin. This is an extra day walk to follow the last leg of the Parramatta to Shoalhavens series. As we are staying overnight on Saturday 30th October to walk the Seven Miles Beach, we will stay another night to do another day of two short walks: The Drawing Room Rocks near Berry and Bomaderry Creek near Nowra. Great views of the NSW south coast. Looking out over Berry, 7 mile beach and Jervis Bay & on a clear day can see pigeon house mountain & the lighthouse at point perpendicular. The climb to the plateau is challenging. Rocky terrain, steep and slippery sections Limit: 10. View|

|(NEW!!!) This is a repeat of one of my most enjoyable walks last year. Travelling by fast train and then a bus, we reach the Princess Marina Track to the beautiful Kellys Falls, set in bushland that is noticeably different to that around Sydney or the Blue Mountains. From here we walk around and see some of the wonderful views over the coast from Stanwell Tops before descending 150 metres down the escarpment to Stanwell Park Station for the journey home. Most of the walk is fairly flat except for the descent to Stanwell Park. Uneven and possibly slippery track surfaces, a steep descent and creek crossings.

|(Date Changed) From Katoomba Station take the 698 bus to Evans Lookout Road, walk down to Grand Canyon and up to Evans Lookout, then walk along the Cliff Top Track to Govetts Leap Lookout and then back along Braeside Walk to Blackheath Station. The walk will be changed if the area below Govetts Leap and the Popes Glen Track are opened. Please email Bandula to book a place. Steep and slippery sections. Creek crossings.

|(Cancelled) The plan is to attend Richard Wagner's The Ring Cycle in Brisbane (Queensland Performance Arts Centre) between 6 November and 12 November. On the 4 opera days, we'll do shorter and river walks (grade 2). On the non-opera days, we'll do more adventurous day walks on the coast or the Scenic Rim (grade 3-4).Itinerary is to be decided closer to the date.
You will need to
1. Book your own Ring Cycle tickets, from $380 to $2200
2. Fly and hire a car in Brisbane, or drive from Sydney
3. Book own accommodation from 5/11 to 13/11 (8 nights), preferably at a convenient location to the QPAC. Leader will be staying in Fairfield. Possible steep and slippery sections, depending on final itinerary.
