This is an extra day walk to follow the last leg of the Parramatta to Shoalhavens series. As we are staying overnight on Saturday 30th  October to walk the Seven Miles Beach, we will stay another night to do another day of two short walks: The Drawing Room Rocks near Berry and Bomaderry Creek near Nowra. Great views of the NSW south coast. Looking out over Berry, 7 mile beach and Jervis Bay & on a clear day can see pigeon house mountain & the lighthouse at point perpendicular. On the 4 opera days, we'll do shorter and river walks (grade 2). On the non-opera days, we'll do more adventurous day walks on the coast or the Scenic Rim (grade 3-4).Itinerary is to be decided closer to the date. You will need to 1. Book your own Ring Cycle tickets, from $380 to $2200 2. Fly and hire a car in Brisbane, or drive from Sydney 3. Book own accommodation from 5/11 to 13/11 (8 nights), preferably at a convenient location to the QPAC. Leader will be staying in Fairfield. Possible steep and slippery sections, depending on final itinerary.

We will explore the Goochs Crater area including the camp cave, gullies, ridge tops and all with great views. Tracks, off-track, steep descent, cliff edges, minor scrambling and creek crossings. Only grade 4 due to the off-track sections.

Highlights include Bushrangers, Coxs, Ross caves and some amazing viewing points just to name a few! This walk will be in conjunction with another offered later on ... the Grand Canyon by night walk. People coming on this walk are welcome and encouraged to join the second much shorter trip. Lots of steps!

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longSlow pace | A trip where the leader will set an easy pace.From Neates Glen after sunset we will descend into the world of the night creatures and walk through the Grand Canyon, exiting at Evans Lookout Track. The prime reason for doing this walk is to see the amazing displays of glow worms which leave the colony in the Glowworm tunnel for dead with their brightness and sheer numbers. Plus we might see possums, gliders, the odd frog and experience this world heritage walk in a completely different way. People doing this walk are encouraged to do the walk to Mt Victoria beforehand and to stay in the mountains to avoid the long drive home. Care is needed walking in the dark and a good torch is essential.

We will follow the eastern side of Girrakool Creek down over Piles Creek before heading south over Scopas Peak, then the Hawkesbury Track, the old Woy Woy Road, past the scout camp and back along the Western Girrakool circuit to the start. Expect lots of scenic lookouts, beautiful waterfalls and of course, masses of wildflowers, including waratahs.

Canyon | A trip through a canyon (a gully surrounded by tall cliffs).Slow pace | A trip where the leader will set an easy pace.Birrabang Canyon is one of the easier canyons to explore as there's no abseils or swims involved but it still has some spectacular sections and is a beautiful and rewarding canyon worth visiting. On the walk out are some spectacular pagodas also worth a look as a bonus. Rock scrambling and wet feet with some slippery rocks in parts.
