(Nearly fully booked) The Suspended Barbican is a large mass of fractured rock “suspended” from dramatic cliff lines and protects remnant rainforest within a deep chasm.
The Bushexplorers describe it as one of the top 10 walks in NSW - we will traverse a spectacular cliff line, descend, make our way through the hidden world and return up through the aptly named Ultimate Chute. It's certainly one of the great walks of stunning Mugii Murum-ban.
Expect great vistas, pagoda climbing, a hidden cave, and giant rock formations to squeeze through.
Hazards: Very steep off-track ascents and descents. A long day with an early start requiring climbing the (in)famous Genowlan Fire trail, although we could drive up depending on the number of AWD/4WD vehicles in the group - TBC Location: Mugii Murum-ban SCA Map: Glen Alice 89314N Limit:12. T:
