(Postponed) This is recognised as one of the classic big walks of the Blue mountains with a full day of walking from the Golden Stairs, up and over Mt Solitary, off the Col pass and down to the Kedumba River. Then another decent climb up to the finish spot near the Queen Victoria hospital. So walkers intending on coming should be relatively fit as a reasonable pace is required. However that doesn't mean I intend to run this walk as I do want to stop occasionally and admire the superb views along the way! Steep track sections in places. One of the more interesting passes off the Narrowneck is Red ledge Pass which offers the bushwalker wonderful views and numerous photographic opportunities! Expect rock scrambling, some nice short waterfalls and sections of unburnt forest along the way. Rock scrambling. Location: Blue Mountains NP Map: Katoomba 89301S and Jamison 89302N Limit: 15. View

15 Aug, Sat			Wild Gorge, Dome Cave and Cosmic Cave

Find out why this spectacular and threatened area must be protected for future generations. Park on a fire trail off Sunnyside Ridge Road and walk east to the head of a tributary of Wild Gorge. Descend it, visiting Dome Cave along the way, then explore both branches of the gorge, including Pinch Point Circle. Move south east and out towards Carne Creek, then climb out and visit Cosmic Cave. Exit via Split Rock Point and Pass. Re-connect with the cars. Scrambling and exposure. Location: Newnes State Forest Map: Cullen Bullen 89313N View
