(Changed Transport Details) Walk down Illingworth Rd to an eroded track which leads to views of the Nepean River. Follow the powerline trail a short distance before climbing back up to Yellow Rock Rd by a better track. Walk out to the Lookout for lunch. Then a 2km road walk to the bus stop at Illingworth Rd. Christmas is too far away. Why don't we have a Christmas in July? It is certainly cold enough to be a Northern Hemisphere Xmas. Bring some food and drinks to share at the Kokoda picnic shelter. You can even purchase them in Rhodes, without having to prepare them at home. There is a Woolworths opposite Rhodes station. There is also Coles and other take away food in Rhodes shopping centre and cafes close by. After the Christmas in July picnic lunch, there will be two walks. 1. We will walk the Kokoda Memorial walkway to Olwen's Corner and follow along the river to Rocky Point and Major's Bay then return. 12 km 2. We continue to Cabarita to catch the ferry. 8km View |

(Fully Booked - Ask leader about waiting list) Gibbergunyah Nature Reserve is between Bowral and Mittagong. The walk takes in views of Mt Gibraltar (Highest point between Sydney and Canberra), Ninety Acre Hill Lookout and a track which winds through a beautiful fern gully. The track is sometimes overgrown and difficult to locate.

Find out why this area must be better protected for future generations. Park at Airly Gap. Walk on Airly Mountain Trail to the top of the mountain. Make our way to its northwestern corner and descend under the first cliff line. Continue south through the spectacular pagoda area known as The Great Wall of China, then locate a ledge (Torbane Balcony) and follow it till GR 221 330. Today we walk from Warrimoo to Valley Heights. Highlights of the walk are lookouts to Mount Banks, Penrith lakes, Lion Rock, Bell Rock, tall gum and turpentile trees, sandstone rock formations, a creek, birds and horses.

Park at the barrier at the national park boundary on Mount Irvine Road. Climb onto the tops to the south west and explore a ravine to the west. Descend into a major tributary of Bowens Creek and follow it north to near the junction with Bowens Creek. Climb out towards a cliff line to the south east and follow it until it runs out. Reconnect with the cars via a wonderful lookout platform visited on the last walk to this area. About 6 km. Exploratory. Scrambling and exposure. Meet at 9.20 am near the entrance to the Cherrybrook Metro Station. Catch the 9.38am 626 Pennant Hills via Cherrybrook bus to our starting destination. The walk will include the Carmen and the Refuge Rock Trails. This will require walking along streets, fire trails and bush tracks. Sections of the tracks could be muddy, slippery and rocky. Leeches could also be encountered. Refuge Rock was used by the Armed Forces for target practice during World War 2. Location: Berowra Valley NP Limit: 15. View |

(Postponed) (Postponed due to short notice road closure) The walk begins at Meryla Pass in Morton NP. From the locked gate continue on the Fire Trail along the ridge. There are several viewpoints which look towards Mt Carrialoo, Crankey's Creek and Lake Yarrunga until reaching the end of the track overlooking Wombat Hill. On the return there is an optional trail leading to Rebecca's View over Sandy's Creek on the other side of the ridge.
