Bushwalking NSW | |||||
You are invited to the Bushwalking NSW May General Meeting. The keynote presentation: How can we keep the Warragamba dam wall as is? To be presented by Harry Burkitt, Colong Foundation & Alex Allchin, Bushwalking NSW. Hear about the latest in the NSW state government’s plans to raise the Warragamba Dam wall. The proposal would, during flood events, inundate 4,700 hectares of pristine World Heritage listed national parks and 65 kilometres of wild rivers - twice the length of the Franklin River that was under threat in the 1980s. How can bushwalkers help protect these precious, wild places? Come to learn about this issue from a bushwalker’s perspective and learn how you can take action! www.bushwalkingnsw.org.au View |
