Deep Creek attracts migratory birds from as far away as Russia and Middle Creek has been the subject of a substantial remediation programme. A relaxing 2 to 3 hour paddle from 1pm. Walk to City View Lookout for morning tea. Then walk to the Lane Cove River’s beginning and on to the Lorna Pass Track at the foot of the lovely cliff line. Optional short side track to see Conscript Rock. Return to Thornleigh Oval for lunch. View

This walk has a little of everything, great scenery, history and possible leeches. Fire trail, track, off-track, steep descent with loose surface, mild exposure and creek crossings.
