   RSVP only accepted from 2 weeks prior to 7 pm the day before the event. An out and back walk from Hawkesbury River Station to Kangaroo Point incorporating the Brooklyn Boardwalk and Hornsby Council’s new Kangaroo Point Boardwalk. Easy, level walking along footpaths and boardwalks with scenic views of the Hawkesbury River. If there is interest, we can add an extra 1.5km loop to Parsley Bay after we return to Hawkesbury River Station. Steps, occasional car traffic.

 It's that time of the year again when the NPA walking community come together to celebrate the past year over good food and drink and have a swim/snorkel and to enjoy each others company at one of Sydney's most iconic beaches. Please bring food to share, swimmers, snorkel gear if that's your interest and a sense of fun, and talk about the coming year and what that has to offer and look forward to!

 (NEW!!!) Meeting at Circular Quay Wharf 5 at 9:40am to catch the F8 ferry to Birchgrove from where we will walk mainly around the foreshore of the Balmain peninsula and conclude at the London Hotel (1870 - one of the longest operating pubs in Sydney) for lunch in a private room overlooking the city. Those who have walked with our group are welcome to attend. Booking is essential giving your NPA, mobile and emergency numbers, unless I already have them. Meet leader at Wharf 5, Circular Quay. Stairs both on the walk and in the hotel. Some street walking.

There is plenty of room for all to have a wonderful view of the harbour,
Access to Strickland House estate is via the gates on Vaucluse Road. Gates open at 5.00 pm.

  This is one of NSW most loved coastal walks and rightly so as you pass so many beautiful features along the way including several beaches which will be welcome as swimming stops as we hike south to the loverly beach town of Gerringong. I'm hoping for a warm Summers day so we can refresh ourselves with a dip or three.
