The track runs the full distance down Western Pittwater from West Head to Elvina Bay. It includes two water crossings, one camp site, one YHA, many historic lookouts and buildings, continuous fabulous scenery, one big waterfall, high chance of sighting wallabies and goannas, very drinkable sweet water from many streams, and all this easily accessible by public transport at both ends. Hazards: Slippery rocks and oysters.
