You have the option of getting off at The Basin to skip the walk.  It has the warmest water I can find in Sydney for swimming and snorkelling. It is also the calmest.  Laze around, have picnic, swim, snorkel, stand up board, BBQ. Hazards: Hazards associated with water activities and hiking
