Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Fully Booked) RSVP by SMS/email essential. Please provide mobile no. and NPA membership no. A strict limit of 10 will apply.  Please make sure you can commit before RSVP as any last-minute drop out deprives other members the opportunity to walk.  An identical walk is led by Esther Chow one hour later.  Video of last week's walk  CBM15 Today we walk from  Blaxland to Glenbrook. Glenbrook Lagoon, Lennox Bridge and Glenbrook Tunnel are the highlights of the walk. The disused Glenbrook Tunnel is steeped in history. It was used as a secret site for mustard gas storage in World War II and in recent years housed a mushroom farm that one local MP called a "doss house". The Lennox Bridge is a heritage-listed road bridge at Mitchells Pass. It is the oldest stone arch bridge on the Australian mainland. https://arhsnsw.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/1806lapstone.pdf  Glenbrook Lagoon is a rare upland wetland that is one of only three of its kind in the entire Hawkesbury-Nepean System. The lagoon provides habitat for flora and fauna species that are otherwise unusual in the area. Hazards: Steep and slippery sections. No-touch sign-on. Social distancing will be observed. Bring your own hand sanitizer. Please consider installing the COVIDsafe app.
Location: Blue Mountains National Park Limit:10.
