From the Appin Road entrance of Dharawal National Park we head north along the 10 b cycling trail and do little of the 10 r track. It is an unsealed road through open forest and woodlands along a sandstone ridge with a picturesque picnic spot along the way and a broad rock platform. Birds, including the raucous yellow-tailed black cockatoo, inhabit the area. Hazards: Creek crossing.
