Picnic | For a mostly static outdoor activity based around a picnicFamily | A trip that is planned to cater for children and their parents.About the walk... What better way to celebrate Christmas than a gentle walk with friends and family to a beautiful waterfall - followed by a Christmas picnic! Hosted by our  team of Group Leaders from Bushwalk the 'Gong. This event is open to all ages and is intended as a social event, we encourage Christmas hats and outfits on the day! Bring Grandma and Pa too 🙂 We will have some little games to keep the kids amused but most of the fun will be from spending time in nature with other kids. Cascades at Macquarie Pass provides a perfect experiential platform for the kids to enjoy nature and learn about the environment around them. The walk is quite easy and we are going to take it very slowly so the kids can get a real hands on experience on the forest floor, dipping their toes in the creek and staring up at the canopy above. The morning is perfect for preschoolers right through to primary (older kids are most welcome too). Parents will need to tag along with the experience. Optional Picnic after: Bring a thermos, picnic rug and little share plate of Christmas goodies and we will all catch up on the grass afterwards in the sun for a chat while the kids have a play! Full information on the walk, parking and meeting spots will be sent via email to ticketholders. Limit:16.
