Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longFrom Meryla Rd car park we take the Griffins fire trail down to Gales Flat for morning tea then on to Griffins Farm on Yarrunga Ck for lunch before return. If there is any interest, there will be the opportunity for a bonus 1.4 km extension to the causeway crossing Yarrunga Creek. Steep fire trail descent at the beginning and ascent on the return.

The circuit around the lake shows you the serene beauty of the lake. Admire the water birds, sculptures and the flora...Maples, tea trees, grevillea ( specific to this area), isopogan, sun Orchid, wild strawberries, tree ferns, and of course Waratahs and rhododendrons flowering in October. There are more species unknown to the leader. Botanists  are invited to join the walk to enrich our knowledge. If you are lucky, you will see redbellied snakes. On return to the station, you can treat yourself with the famous pastries at the German bakery. Limit: 12. View

Briefing will be held outside Cowan Station after the arrival of the 9:39am from Central to Newcastle. This section is a steep walk with many lookouts. There should be many wild flowers. I am allowing around 6 hours. Steep uneven track that may have fallen trees to climb over.

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longStarting the walk via the Vale lookout and great views over the lower Grose River, then the Vale of Avoca trail to the Grose River. Cross the river and pick up track on south side going up stream. Cross river near confluence with Cabbage Tree Creek. The Paterson Hill off track section begins from here, a steep climb to Paterson hill from the creek confluence. Look for log book near cairn. Return down spur to Cabbage Tree Creek, then follow creek to Grose River. Anyone wanting an easier walk can remain at the Grose River swimming pools and enjoy a swim. Return via The Wire track, a short but steeper track that joins the fire trail to the parked cars. Hazards include off track walking, river and creek crossings, steep exposed rock faces.

Walk to the top part of The Grotto, then north to the bottom end of Ladders Defile. After a quick visit, explore the highly dissected terrain of pagodas, slots and spurs to the east, bounded by Genowlan Creek gorge. Return via Lyrebird Defile. Scrambling and exposure. About 6km.

Follow fire trail along Devlins Creek to the junction of the Great North Walk (GNW). Follow GNW until we come to the turnoff to the Terrys Creek Track. Follow this track through various parks to Terrys Creek falls and on to Vimiera Park. Road walk to Eastwood Railway Station. Possible sighting of flannel flowers and other flowers in bloom during this walk. Rough and slippery track in a few spots. Creek crossings. View

Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or long(Nearly fully booked) One of my favourite Blue Mountains Walks, Porters Pass has a bit of everything. Shaded grottos, waterfalls, fern filled gullies, cliff top walks, Pagodas and Fort Rock. Commencing from the Western end of Burton Road we will pick up the over cliff wall to Fort Rock before descending into Centennial Glen. We will check out the upper falls and Walls Ledge before descending into the Centennial Glen Falls. We will take some time to appreciate the grotto half way down the falls. We will then proceed to the base of the falls before backtracking slightly to follow the track to the bottom of the valley. From there we will follow Porters Pass Gully back up and into Porters Pass where we will admire a second grotto hidden in the pass. We will have lunch on the pagodas overlooking the valley. If time permits, we will visit Walls Cave on the Eastern side of Blackheath to take in the slot canyon at the base of the steps and spend time in quiet contemplation inside the amphitheatre of Walls Cave, an area significant to the Darug people. Allow 5 hours for the first walk. 7km and 500m elevation. Allow an additional 1.5 hours for second walk.1.6km and 130m elevation. Uneven wet slippery track in sections

Then on to the Sun Bath and other spectacular lookouts on a clear day as well as views of the Hydro Majestic. Narrow tracks past old flying fox pulleys and anchors. Originally for getting produce from Megalong valley up to the Hydro. Tracks to The Three Brothers. Track back to Medlow Bath. Narrow paths, dense vegetation - wear long trousers, long sleeves and gloves. Rough tracks, uneven, tripping roots.

Drive back to Lawson's Long Alley track. Steep section at the start of the track. Down to Hartley Vale Road. Walk to the Lockyers picnic area. Tracks back up to the cars. Return to Mount Victoria. Drivers, please indicate how many seats you have. Passengers please indicate as such and provide some remuneration to the drivers. The total number will depend on car spaces. Muddy section to test your footwear. Steep downs and ups. Rough. Limit: 15. View
