The rugged and beautiful Gardens of Stone can be an intimidating place for a first-time visitor. Find out about easier access points and routes that you can use to discover this magical land. After his talk, Yuri will lead a short walk to the part of the Gardens of Stone adjacent to Lithgow (Dobbs Drift). You will be able to view, photograph and learn about the stunning pagoda formations that make this area unique. Numbers are strictly limited, so bookings are essential. Swim | A trip that involves swimmingWalk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longSlow pace | A trip where the leader will set an easy pace.Normally a canyon involves getting wet feet and a swim, abseil or at least a wade through waist-deep water but Nobles Cayon, also known as the Dry Canyon is a rare exception and a wonderfully spectacular one at that. On this trip we will follow Nobles Canyon down past its 2 constrictions to the cliff lines above Carne Creek then explore the cliff lines south of that creek before crossing over a pagoda laden ridge back to the main track. Rock scrambling and off-track.
