Where better than a trip to Splendour Rock in the Blue Mountains, this time with a bright full moon. A wonderful experience to see the landscape under moonlight, and at sunrise and sunset! This unique but unprotected area, part of the Gardens of Stone region, has an active coal mine underneath it. Find out why it must be protected for future generations. Park at GR 238 326 at Airly Gap and walk up the western tributary of Gap Creek. Explore its northern branch, then climb out to the tops at about GR 231 335 and explore the pagoda spurs on the northern side of Gap Creek, moving east. Descend into Airly Gap. Moderate pace. Via Gladesville Reserve, Bedlam Bay, Banjo Patterson Park, Looking Glass Bay, Glades Bay, Morrisons Bay, Putney Point. Then we’ll catch the Mortlake ferry, walk through the Breakfast Point development, Village Green and past Country Club to Cabarita wharf. River views. Reserves, steps, ups and downs, mostly sealed paths, some unsealed and uneven tracks, quiet street walking. Limit: 12. View

We have arranged special access for this event with NPWS and local landholders so you have a rare chance to explore this hidden gem. It is time to dust off your compass and register!
