Medium pace. Bushwalking experience required. Walking from Otford to Bundeena via Burning Palms Beach, Garie Beach, Eagle Rock, Curracurrang, Wattamolla. Some exposed sections, the track is fairly tough, following the coast up and over many headlands, some of which are a steep climb. Carry plenty of water, snacks, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Walk is planned to finish at Bundeena at approx. 4:30pm, in time for the 5pm ferry from Bundeena to Cronulla. (Fully Booked) Co-Leader Kevin Cliffe. Part of the Great South Coast Walk, a long-distance walking route along the southern coastline of New South Wales, from Bundeena on the southern fringe of Sydney, to Mallacoota, just over the border in Victoria, 660 km in total.
Today we walk from Bundeena to Wattamolla. Always wanted to do the Coast Track but 28 km and 900 m elevation in one day is not your cup of tea? This is your chance to do it in 3 sections with public transport option.
Take train and ferry to Bundeena Wharf. Walk to Wattamolla. Catch the shuttle from Wattamolla to Sutherland Station at end of walk. Fare is $10. Ask leader for payment details for group booking.
