|The beauty of the surrounds on the Spit Bridge to Manly Coastal Walk is breathtaking: groves of trees with tangled limbs, sculptural rock shelves and dramatic cliffs that change hue at dawn and dusk, reflecting the first and last rays of the sun over the sea.
The track unravels through a mix of bushland and harbourside trails and series of short tracks crossing between stunning beaches, bays and inlets in North Sydney.

|(Nearly fully booked) As part of Parramatta to Shoalhaven Heads walks series, we will walk from Minnamurra to Kiama on the 'Kiama Coast Walk' - part of the Great South Coast Walk (http://greatsouthcoastwalk.net/) a long-distance walking route along the southern coastline of New South Wales, from Bundeena on the southern fringe of Sydney, to Mallacoota, just over the border in Victoria, 660km in total. This section takes us via the spectacular Minnamurra river entrance then headlands, beaches and rock platforms to Kiama harbour and Blowhole. Steep and slippery sections. Limit: 12. View|

|Starting point is 8.9km along Tableland Rd. Out and back to Lions Head. Also have a look at the track at the large cairn for future walk. Rough track. Exploritory section down from cairn looks steep.

|Leader will be Sue Atteridge. Today we walk CALEYI TRAIL , Deep Creek Valley Trail and continue along the Narrabeen lagoon to the Tramshed. CALEYI TRAIL is named after Caley’s Grevillea, a medium to tall shrub that is only found in an 8km square area that includes Belrose, Ingleside and Terrey Hills/Duffys Forest). As we are now closer to spring, expect to see wildflowers, grass trees, ferns and eucalypts. There is a wide rock platform and some interesting sandstone formations. There are some nice views over the GARIGAL NATIONAL PARK. Near the trail are carvings of two kangaroos, one of which has a spear in its back (described by WD Campbell). Where the track meets Deep Creek, the creek cascades over the rocks and drops into a small pool below. Steep and slippery sections, some parts a bit rugged, creek crossing

|Walk footpath and fire trail to the Three Brothers. Visit the place where a flying fox was used to bring produce up from Megalong Valley. Then follow the old Glen Rosa Track. Very rough old track. At some sections, exposure may be felt. Scrambling and wet sections encountered.

|Leader will be Brad Sichter. Today we explore Hornsby and Normanhurst including Lisgar Gardens. Lisgar Gardens is a wonderful, secret garden hidden in the back streets of Hornsby. Spread across 6 acres, the garden packs a lot in with a little bit of something for everyone. This walk will be easier than my Neighbourhood Walk with less steep climbs. There are sixty Camellia Gardens of Excellence in the world, with the Camellia Gardens and Lisgar Gardens in Hornsby being the only two in NSW. Stairs and slippery sections.

|Walk to Station St and descend to Duck Hole. Cross over Glenbrook Creek beyond Kanuka Brook and make way down to the Sand Hole. Exit here and follow trail back to Station St and on to Glenbrook. Cross Glenbrook Creek a couple of times. Steep but interesting climb up from Sand Hole. Walking beside Glenbrook Creek is rough going at times.

Return is via the Western Escarpment track through native heath with coastal views, birdlife and wildflowers. Medium pace.
Many steps and some rocky sections on tracks which have been somewhat eroded with recent rain.
