This walk's theme is botanica as it's the first weekend of Spring and I want to see as many of the floral delights that this section of our oldest national park has to offer! Of course we will experience the stunning coastline and sections of rainforest too as we enjoy our surroundings on this relatively easy-ish hike. Location: Royal National Park Limit: 20.

The West and East Rim tracks, which both start from the Fitzroy Falls visitor centre, offer 2 quite different vegetation types. As it's Spring time I think we can expect wonderful displays of the various flowering natives as we walk, and enjoy the many lookouts which both rim track can offer. Needless to say the views are incredible and I plan to see as much of this area as possible. I plan to do the West rim track before lunch and the shorter East rim track after our meal break with afternoon tea at the Burrow cafe situated at the visitor centre. slippery track in sections Location: Morton national park Limit: 20.

One of the best walks for wildflowers in the Sydney region is this delightful trip to Pindars Cave which is an enormous overhang not all that far from Wondabyne station. Expect multitudes of blooms along the way including some superb sprays of the Sydney rock orchid. Transport is via train as Wondaybyne is the only railway station in NSW not reachable by road. Family Friendly Nature Appreciation walk suit over eight years old.
10am meet at Sandmines Carpark, (unmarked on a map first left after McNee St, Broulee) to the Windsock Carpark and back again. Bring: Sturdy shoes, hat, water, sunscreen and insect repellant
After: Lunch or snack at Broulee Brewhouse. Optional: Swim at Bengello Beach.
If people are swimming or not joining the group at the Broulee Brewhouse they need to let the walk leaders know at the end of the walk.
If you could put a price on Nature, the Bengello sand plain between Broulee and the Moruya River is one of Eurobodalla's most valuable natural assets. Because the soils were too poor for agriculture the natural vegetation systems have stayed relatively intact. The area continues to support endangered forest ecosystems and significant coastal wetlands. These forests are significant habitat for many threatened fauna such as the Yellow-bellied Glider, Greater Glider, Powerful Owl, Sooty Owl, Barking Owl, White-footed Dunnart, Gang-gang and Glossy-black Cockatoo. This stretch of Bangalay Sand forest, running roughly between the Fire Shed and the Airport is zoned E2, Environmental protection which means it is protected from any sort of development for now. Location: Broulee
