We are walking via the historic Woolwich Dock and through Kellys Bush, which was saved after the community fought the developers and won. Paths follow portions of both the Parramatta and Lane Cove Rivers and is part of the Great North Walk. We end at Boronia Park, though the walk can be adjusted to accommodate the weather. Meet the leader at Woolwich Wharf at 9:08am. Bookings are not being taken for this walk so just turn up and register. It’s a flat walk on bush tracks through Puckeys, grassy walk in Stuart Park and footpaths to the station. We will see beautiful bushland, the lagoon, bird life, beaches and the harbour. The 10km Manly Scenic Walkway beings at Manly Wharf, passes sandy beaches, ancient Aboriginal sites and incredible lookouts, before arriving at the Spit Bridge where you can catch a bus to the city.

Cycle four tidal canals and one greenway and a network of creek-side cycling trails, unearthing some of Sydney's secretive canals that lead to the Cooks River. Must be confident riding on roads. A site seeing tour, approximately 35 kms return. Starting and finishing at Wolli Creek Railway Station, returning approx. 3:30 pm. Bring morning tea, lunch at local Thai Restaurant in Newtown. Meeting 9:45 am for a 10:00 am start. Bring sufficient drinking water and sun cream. Must book in with leader. When contacting leader please provide: full name, mobile number, emergency contact details, name of club (s) & membership number (where applicable), First Aid Yes/No. Must bring spare tube (s) and repair kit. No Helmet No Go! Limited numbers. This is a combined cycle with St George Bicycle Users Group (BUG).

A new nature trail was completed in November 2024, with over 60 native plant species planted to support local biodiversity. These diverse understorey plantings provide essential food and shelter for beneficial insects, reptiles, small birds, and mammals. This walk on Wangal Nature Trail transforms a once-neglected urban corridor into a thriving green space that celebrates nature, culture, and community.
A leisurely stroll to see the Sydney Turpentine-Ironbark Forest (STIF) and learn about native trees.
Meet at corner of Burwood Road and Deane Street (just on the right of Burwood Station as you exit)
Walk through lively Burwood, Burwood Park to Queen Elizabeth Park and finish at Edward Park. Take a bus afterwards.
Feel free to arrive Burwood early to have breakfast or morning tea. Burwood is a bustling suburb with plenty of food options.

Drive on Blackfellows Hand Road, turn on Fire Trail No. 5 and park at the locked gate. Walk a short distance on the trail, then off-track to the area overlooking Point Green. Traverse east, cross the Wolgan River and explore a peninsula to the west to GR 350 102. Descend east from here, cross the Wolgan River and climb a peninsula to the east at GR 353 102. Explore it to its southern end, then cross the Wolgan River at GR 352 099 and make our way back to the vehicles. About 6 km. Partly exploratory. Wet feet and more. Scrambling and exposure. From Glenbrook Station we walk over the highway to Moore St and make our way past The RAAF Base and down Knapsack St. Walk through some old railway cuttings to the lookout above Knapsack Viaduct. We go under the Viaduct and then under the Freeway to Leonay Oval and on to the Nepean River Path. Walk is mostly on paths, but there are steep and rough sections. Park at GR 395 037 on Carne West Trail. Descend into Gang Gang Canyon and walk all the way through to Gang Gang Tunnels. After exploring the Gang Gang Tunnels, turn south and walk to the falls at GR 407 040, whilst inspecting the caves along the way. Continue south to visit Lots Wife and the adjacent cave.
