 Exploratory walk to this area to prepare for walk on Thursday 21st September. The entire walk may not be completed, leaving out Ahearn's Lookout if pressed for time. Starting on Nattai Road W11E and turn off on Starlights Trail and follow to Ermetts Flat. Check camping areas. Follow the Nattai River upstream to Slott Way track. Follow Slott Way track to Needle Lookout and then to the junction with Ahearn Lookout Track. Time available will decide on including lookout. From the track junction, continue to the junction with Starlights Trail and then to car parked on Nattai Road. Hazards: Hazards include river crossings, slippery rocks and hard to follow tracks.
