Walk | A bushwalk of any kind short or longPhotography | A trip that has a strong focus on encouraging people to capture photographs.Public Transport | There are public transport options to and from this activity. This walk will be jointly led by Les Heitter. We will meet on Pittwater Rd, Narrabeen, just past the “Tramshed Café” (see old Sydney tram parked outside). We start the walk by crossing Pittwater Rd to go to Narrabeen Beach, heading north along Narrabeen Peninsula, and crossing over Narrabeen Lagoon where it empties into the ocean. We then return to the main lagoon to start our circuit walk. The lagoon is home to many seabirds, black swans and even aggressive Kookaburras (especially at the picnic spots). The walk will take us past the Sydney Academy of Sport, Cromer Golf Course, Jamieson Park and many beautiful lakeside spots as we near our starting point. There are about three terrific picnic areas besides the lake for both M/T and lunch. Booking essential giving your NPA, phone and emergency contact numbers, unless I already have them. Hazards: Trip hazards, creek crossings and some road walking.
Location: Northern Beaches
Map: Mona Vale 91301S Limit:20.
